We’re excited to celebrate 40 years of education, innovation, and service to our community. Here you will learn about the history of our nonprofit institution, which was started by practitioner faculty seeking to educate and train future practitioners to better the Chicago community. The first class was held on February 26, 1979, at the Lawson House YMCA in Chicago. To learn more about our locations over the 40 years click here.
